Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and is the major tourist destinations of Europe. About 13 million tourists visit the country every year. The Edinburgh attractions are the reason it is called as the Athens of the North.

It is one of the most precious world heritage cities of the world. There are many old buildings as well as buildings having modern architecture. It has a rich and diverse culture and tradition.

Places which you must visit:

If you are a lover nature, then a visit to the Royal Botanical Garden should be one of the first places in your itinerary. The Cathedral of Saint Giles is one of the few cathedrals in the world that does not have any bishop. One can taste the distinct flavour of Scotch whisky at the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre. Book lovers would not want to miss a visit to The National Library that has a huge collection of books from across the world.

It would be ideal to get up early and enjoy the striking rays of the morning sun. You must not travel by taxi; instead discover the city by walking on feet. Turn the pages of history by going round the city visiting different museums of the city. The museums are one of the major Edinburgh attractions that depict the history of the city. Visit all the possible popular nightclubs, clubs and cafes of the city and coolly enjoy the evenings.

One of the most important shopping destinations in the city is the St. James Centre that has a perfect blend of branded and non branded clothes in one store.
