View The Adventure Film Exiled Soon

By Lakeisha Dodson

If you're looking for an action flick that's a little different from the usual shaky cam and incoherent running and shooting, Exiled may be the answer. It belongs on any movie downloads queue for the way that it manages to create a strange, dreamlike trance in its action through slow motion and unpredictable developments.

We follow a gangster who betrayed his boss years ago, and his since gotten married and had a baby. The boss sends a couple of hitmen to take him out, while at the same time, two other former members of the gang show up to protect him. This is where the movie begins.

The five characters are all friends, and so, after a quick, and dazzling shootout, they come to a compromise. Where most gangster movies are fairly cold and impersonal when it comes to "whacking" people, this one is oddly sweet and sentimental, and the five decide to pull off a big score to support the wife and child of the lead character before settling any other business they might have together.

Johnnie To, the Hong Kong action legend, directed this film with a sense of sweetness and sentimentality and nostalgia. John Woo and Ringo Lam defined the Heroic Bloodshed genre alongside To with films like Hard Boiled and City on Fire, and To was always considered sort of the third wheel of the genre. This film, however, is much different from anything you might have seen from that era of Hong Kong action.

The film really feels like a dream, with slow motion shootouts taking several minutes while only carrying about thirty seconds of action were they to be shot in real time. One incredible sequence has a character throwing an empty drink can into the air, and the shootout takes place over several minutes as the can falls to the floor in slow motion just seconds after the final bullet is fired.

The action is clear and coherent, the story isn't always so clear. This actually helps the film's dreamlike feel, so if you just watch it for the characters and for the action, the weird, twisty-turny story won't infringe upon your enjoyment of the film and what it really does have to offer the viewer.

The genre of Heroic Bloodshed was defined by angry violence, often showing one man up against an army as a parallel to the independent people of Hong Kong and their anger against the Communist China. After Woo and Lam went to Hollywood, Johnnie To stayed behind and redefined the genre on his own terms, turning it into something a little less vitriolic.

It's truly a rare spectacle in the world of action. Even if you've seen everything John Woo and Ringo Lam have ever made, this movie will show you something you haven't seen before. It's definitely something to watch if you're looking for an action scene with its own approach to the usual shootouts and fight scenes. - 39815

A Short Synopsis Of The Science Fiction Thriller Movie Alien

By Corrine Spencer

If you are looking into a particular piece such as this, than you are likely looking to learn a little more about one of the most impressive science fiction films to ever hit the screens, "Alien". Surely, there is a good bit that you might want to know and understand to truly appreciate the film, and most of this as well as a plot synopsis is what you could expect from this article.

This was by no means the first extraterrestrial based film to be released, so people were fairly familiar with what they thought an alien should look like on screen. However, this movie gave audiences an outer worldly being unlike anything that they had ever seen before. To say the least, there were several differences between these creatures in earlier interpretations to what the minds behind this film brought.

The first thing that you would likely notice as a considerable difference between these creatures and those that you might have seen before would be the fact that they aren't just "stand around and look eerie" beings. These are very aggressive and very deadly creatures, that have absolutely no interest in making patterns in corn fields or beaming you up into their spaceship.

They were creatures that fed on fear as much as they fed on the lives of humans. They walked on all fours and they stalked and hunted their prey, which in this case was a group of unknowing space miners. They had several sets of teeth, and they salivated a substance that could eat through metal floors with ease. While you don't learn it in the original release, but in the sequels, most of them report to a much larger and much more terrifying queen.

It is this crew that the story centers around. They are on a mining expedition to take minerals back to Earth when they are hailed from a nearby planet with a distress signal. But it doesn't take the crew members Dallas and Kane long to learn that they are not in the midst of anything friendly when they stumble upon a nest of eggs. One hatches and a little alien leaps out and attaches to Kane's face and refuses to release the hold.

Through the course of the plot the creatures that the little one will grow to become begin to surface and wreak havoc. The crew also learns that they were meant to land on the planet and the ship would house aliens being sent back to Earth, and they would likely be the in flight meal for this excursion. The crew is all but demolished, except for Ripley who escapes on a shuttle after setting the self destruct functions. She is not alone, and the alien is outside the shuttle attempting to find a way inside. When she tries to come in through the thrusters, Ripley fires them which incinerates the creature and Ripley returns safely to Earth.

This movie would not be nearly as good if it weren't for the incredible acting involved. Performances from Sigourney Weaver (Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas) and John Hurt (Kane) really made this movie remarkable.

There is a good bit to know about the movie "Alien", but this should give you a proper introduction to the film. While this movie is quite a classic, you might want to check it out as well as the several sequels to the film that followed after (most of which feature Sigourney Weaver in returning roles as Ripley). - 39815

Francis Ford Coppola's Vietnam War Classic Apocalypse Now

By Charlene Foster

Coppola is one of those directors who's tried his hand at everything, never really settling down. He's so in love with the cinema, so curious, that he's never truly satisfied to return to the same subject matter twice. In fact, outside of the Godfather films, he's never really revisited a genre. So Apocalypse Now is, at once, a definition of what he did, and nowhere near a definition of what he did. It doesn't contain any of Coppola's usual stylistic touches because he really has no formula or pattern for how he makes his films, and that's why it is his signature film.

The film is, supposedly, based on the novel Heart of Darkness, but to be completely honest, there are really only a few key parallels, some similar scenes. The movie itself is an entity all its own. Benjamin J. Willard, played by Martin Sheen, is our lead, a special operatives agent, an assassin, who is slowly going stir crazy awaiting his next assignment.

All he wants is to be put back in the field. "Every day, Charlie grows stronger while I grow weaker". He thrives on the blood lust of battle and can't take another day cooped up in this room. The opening scene is immediately gripping, with the choppers flying overhead and Willard simply going insane in a bedroom somewhere in Saigon, waiting for his next mission.

The famous shot of Sheen punching the mirror was not scripted. He really went that crazy. The film is full of scenes and moments that were not scripted, and not just because of Coppola's open attitude towards improvisation. The making of feature on this film is just about as wild and as fascinating as the movie itself, but we've only got time to review one or the other for now...

The movie is loaded from end to end with unforgettable scenes and incredible characters. Before we even get into the main cast, we have Cockroach, who appears for a single scene in the film during a fight over a key bridge in Vietnam. He sleeps through the battle while the others defend, but when a lone V. C. Sits amongst his friends bodies in the dark, shouting insults, Cockroach is awoken, he fires a grenade into the air which arcs perfectly and silences the V. C. Immediately, and then Cockroach goes back to bed. Robert Duvall as Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore is one of the greatest one-scene characters ever, ordering his men to surf while mortar fire hits the waves.

This is without even mentioning any of the main characters. You could remove Kilgore, Dennis Hopper or Cockroach and still tell this story. Marlon Brando as Colonel Kurtz is, in fact, the heart of the film, despite not even appearing until the final act of the story. Even without appearing on screen until the finale, his existence casts a nihilistic dread across the atmosphere of the movie.

The film succeeds on every possible level. It is endearing, at times, when you see the camaraderie between the men on Willard's boat. It's funny, it's exciting with some of the greatest action set pieces ever put to film, it's a jaw dropping piece of cinematic art, yet... The pessimism, the nihilism of the two main characters, Willard and Kurtz, eventually takes over and overwhelms every other aspect of the film.

Coppola always cites Rumble Fish as his own favorite amongst his films, but fans will duke it out between Apocalypse Now and The Godfather Part 2. Of course, it's always up to the individual viewer, but without a doubt, this film is certainly his most ambitious, his most unpredictable, and his most insane movie. - 39815

Sharm El-Sheikh - The Top 5 Diving Sites

By Jane Wilkinson

When planning your holidays to Sharm El-Sheikh its best to research where all the fantastic activities are within the city, especially if you are a love being under water. In Sharm El-Sheikh there are around fifty different diving sites, and benefits from deep clear water ranging in temperature from 20C to 27C. The area is host to a wide range of marine life and brightly coloured coral, so it's easy to see why this is such an attractive diving location and great place to.

With so many fantastic diving sites to choose from, it can be difficult knowing which to choose.

Jackson Reef - This reef is the most northern in the Strait of Tiran. It has steep walls and beautiful corals, and strong currents ensuring a fascinating range of marine life, including barracudas and several types of shark. This is an extremely popular reef.

SS Dunraven - This is one of the Red Sea's most popular wreck sites. The Dunraven was a Victorian ship wrecked while carrying goods including cotton from India. It sank in the upside-down position, and over the years its contents have been stripped away, leaving a dramatic cavernous space.

Shark and Yolanda Reef - These two sites are normally combined into one trip. Shark Reef is home to several types of shark, occasionally including hammerheads, and features a steep drop and a stunning soft coral wall. The neighbouring Yolanda Reef was named after a vessel which sank there.

Thomas Reef - This is a small reef in the Straits of Tiran which features a deep canyon that is suitable for experienced cave divers. Thomas Reef features beautiful coral formations and species including barracudas, reef sharks and huge cod and tuna.

SS Thistlegorm - This ship sank while carrying British army supplies to Alexandria, and many of her contents can still be seen. This well-preserved wreck makes for a very exciting dive, and most divers make a day trip out of the Thistlegorm, planning at least two dives there. - 39815

The Dead Or Alive Trilogy Is Definitely Worth Viewing

By Ronald Erickson

You might not have heard of these movies. If you're thinking about the ones based on the Xbox and Playstation games, we're not talking about those, but rather the trilogy of bizarre action flicks by Japanese crazy-man director Takashi Miike. This trilogy of movie downloads offers just what you're looking for if you've gotten tired of the same old same old from American action flicks and you're ready for something a little different, and a little strange.

Dead or Alive Part One was designed to be a way to bring together two hot Japanese stars, being Sho Aikawa, the Japanese Pacino, and Riki Takeuchi, the Japanese DeNiro, so Dead or Alive is sort of the Japanese Heat. However, it's really nothing like Heat, and it's sort of designed to fix the problem with that movie, being that the ending wasn't quite the climax most viewers were hoping for.

We won't spoil the ending of Dead or Alive, but let's just say that it's certainly not an anti-climax. The entire movie is a thrill ride, starting with a rock video style montage that gets you into the movie's world fast, and culminating in an ending that you will not believe.

Dead or Alive 2 is one of those rare sequels that blows the original away, even though the original was already pretty good. Aikawa and Takeuchi are recast as two entirely different characters, that parallel their original roles in some interesting ways. Where the first is about a cop and a gangster out to get each other, this one focuses on two childhood friends who have grown up to become hitmen who donate all of their earnings to buying medicine for children in third world countries. This movie is all heart.

This one is much more positive, much more life affirming, and surprisingly sweet and sentimental, whereas the first was relatively dark and negative in comparison. It's interesting having these two movies, that are so different from each other, and yet have so much in common.

The third film, Dead or Alive Final, goes in the science fiction direction, more specifically, cyberpunk, with replicants and evil dystopian governments. While it might not be the most exciting of the trilogy, it's worth seeing so you can check out how it ties the whole thing together in such a strange way.

If you like the Dead or Alive trilogy, you should also check out Deadly Outlaw Rekka, which feels like the fourth film in the series in spirit. It has the same sense of over the top craziness and stars Riki Takeuchi in the lead role.

As the trailer for the first film declares: Takashi Miike is the rabid dog of Japanese cinema. You never know what he's going to do in his movies. Interestingly, he's said in interviews that he tends to look for boring scripts. When the script is dull, that gives him a lot of opportunity to spice it up. And spice it up he does. Miike has always managed to take these director for hire movies and make something new out of them. He makes an average of four movies a year, and has made around a hundred feature films total. The quality of each of these movies... It goes up and down, but if only one in ten is worth watching, ten great movies is more than most directors ever get around to creating. - 39815

Travel Discounts That Some Companies Give To Their Employees

By Jane Cottman

Many people would love to see the world through traveling but can not because of the expense. To make travel more accessible, some companies are offering their employees programs that have discounted travel options. Employee discount travel programs provide cheaper rates for staff and their families so they can enjoy the excitement of traveling.

If you work for a company that values traveling you may be able to participate in their travel discount program. They work when companies partner with travel agencies to get special deals that their employees can take advantage of.

So, if your employer uses a specific travel agency for all of their corporate travel, they may receive in exchange, select discounts for its employees.

Those who work for travel agencies may receive even greater benefits. Sometimes companies will even provide reimbursement for such things as hotel rooms, food and intercity travel.

In some cases companies may reimburse for the cost of international calls employees make to their clients when on their trip, if it's work-related. For longer vacations, companies may offer their staff discount coupons to restaurants and attractions to make their trip more economical.

Employees of airlines and railways often are allowed to travel free to many locations. Their families are sometimes included and receive first class accommodations.

Some companies are so committed to providing discounted travel opportunities to their employees that they occasionally become agents. They search out businesses that are looking for to serve travelers by providing discounts and match them with companies looking to offer discounted travel programs to their staff.

Employee discount travel is also a great way for companies to attract good employees. In a competitive job market it also provides incentive for employees to stay. - 39815

Traveling With The Kids

By Calvin Christensen

When traveling with children, there are several obstacles. Here are some tips that will help you and your kids enjoy the vacation.

Air travel will avoid a very long drive. If you do have to drive, provide the children with goodie bags.

Sea trips can be ideal for children. The kids can build sandcastles, play in the water, and find shells. Don't plan too much night activity if you've had the kids at the beach all day.

You can usually go off and have adult time and leave your children in care at the resort. Cruises are good options because they have fun for all ranges.

Getting out into nature can keep kids entertained, but long drives through nature or wildlife parks should be avoided. Hiking or biking will likely keep them more entertained. Do some research on the park before you go, so you can turn a nature walk into a treasure hunt, with prizes for the kids who find various birds, plants or animals on the walk.

Museums and monuments will not keep the interest of children for long. A little research might give you some ideas to make whatever you do more entertaining for the kids.

There are many activities that are specifically geared towards children, such as fun parks, water parks and so on. Make sure wherever you go has activities for everyone involved. Disney land is always a great option.

Your vacation will have to be more geared toward children if you don't leave them at home with the grandparents. You won't have much relaxation time, and will be forced to do child related activities.

There are many activities that are specifically geared towards children, such as fun parks, water parks and so on. Make sure there are children's activities near wherever you go. Disney land is always a great option for children.

Unfortunately, unless you leave the kids back home with their grandparents, your vacation will mainly be geared around keeping them amused and entertained. Unless you're toy shopping, they will be bored. - 39815

Five Great Ideas For A Stay At Home Vacation

By Ellen Parsons

Keeping an eye on your budget during your time off from work can be a challenge, particularly during a sluggish economy. It used to be that families traveled on vacation, spending money on airfare, hotels, and restaurants while away from home, but more and more people are keeping it low-key. You might find that the answer for you is to look into a staycation this year instead of a vacation.

You might actually enjoy the process of renovating your home, preferring to do improvements instead of hiring professionals. Since you've got a week off from work, why not take one room and work on changing it into something bold and new. There are so many options to explore, including painting it a vibrant color with accent trim, shining up light fixtures and fans, and moving furniture around.

Get out and explore a museum, library or local art gallery for a day of culture. Check out historic sites near your town and investigate what it is that makes your city or state special. New Jersey is the "Garden State," and Missouri is the "Show me State," so go to the bookstore and find out why this is so. Not only will you learn something about your state, you'll have fun doing research as you do.

Schedule a day of you-time by going to a day spa, perhaps even getting a manicure and pedicure. Make time for a massage, and get your hair done in a different, dramatic style. You might consider changing the color of your hair or adding highlights. If you're open to the idea, you may want to try out a henna tattoo.

Try a theme for each night of the week. On "picture day," you can see a movie, take pictures of the sunset, and then rent a movie for later on that night. On "animal day," you might consider visiting a zoo or local farm and then watching animal shows on television. Perhaps you could go root for a local baseball team on "sports day," then watch "Field of Dreams" later on at home.

Check the local weather forecast and, if it's going to be a nice day, get outside and get physical. Consider hiking, which will get you out into nature and will get your blood pumping, or camping out under the stars. Try to gather a group of friends who will camp out with you without the technological gadgets we've all come to rely on so you can be in touch with nature and each other while enjoying a night under the stars.

Even if money is tight for you right now, it is certainly possible to enjoy your time off from work without traveling far or spending a fortune. Looking around the area in which you live, you'll find interesting sights to visit and things to do that don't require much travel. Take a chance on a staycation instead of a vacation, and you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much fun you'll have. - 39815

The Pump Room: Star Studded Chicago Dining Landmark

By Ross Everett

The venerable Pump Room Restaurant in Chicago is once again a beacon of civilized living. Famously memorialized in the Frank Sinatra song 'Chicago', the 'jumping Pump Room' was one of the first true fine dining establishments to open in the Windy City at the end of Prohibition. Almost immediately, it became a favorite of celebrities including the biggest stars in entertainment history--Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr, Jackie Gleason, Dean Martin, Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart, Ronald Reagan and Marilyn Monroe is just a very small list of the icons that made it a regular hangout. In the later part of the 20th century, however, it sort of fell off the map as a new wave of gourmet restaurants in the Windy City led by Charlie Trotter reduced it to a historical footnote.

The Pump Room opened in'38 under the ownership and management of Ernie Blyfield. Blyfield's inspiration for the name and ambiance of his restaurant was an 18th Century London pub frequented by celebrities and nobility, including Queen Anne. The 'Pump Room' moniker came from the hot drinks 'pumped' into the cocktails of its customers.

The Chicago Pump Room was a smashing success from the time it opened. It's most desired table reserved for 'A list' celebrities was Booth #1, which for a time may have been the most sought after table at any dining establishment in the country. Booth #1 at various times hosted Frank Sinatra and his associates, Bogart and Bacall, Judy Garland and daughter Liza Minnelli, John Barrymore and countless others.

Blyfield died in'50, but the Pump Room continued to be the preferred Chicago destination for the biggest names in show biz. A new era of celebrities held court there including opera singer Beverly Sills, Paul Newman, Robert Redford, film producer Robert Evans, Eddie Murphy and others. A funny story involving the Pump Room began when the former drummer for a British progressive rock band was refused entry due to his lack of a jacket. The drummer would use this as inspiration for his next album--'No Jacket Required' which has sold over-- million copies worldwide and established Phil Collins as a solo superstar. After the album's release, the Pump Room sent Collins an apology--and an appropriate jacket for him to wear on his next trip to town.

The Pump Room was purchased by a large restaurant management group in the late'90's. They spent a lot of money to renovate the facility, overhaul the menu and hire a top flight chef. While the Pump Room's golden era trade mark flaming food served on a sword was a tragedy of city fire codes, the menu is now on par with any in the city serving a sophisticated interpretation of classic American cuisine. In addition to the revamped cuisine, the Pump Room upgraded its wine offering and expanded the bar area.

Today, current Executive Chef Nick Sutton continues the restaurant's tradition of culinary excellence. The most amazing thing about the restaurant, however, remains the almost palpable sense of history that the dining room affords. Sitting in the same room where icons of American culture from Sinatra to Bogart held court is an intoxicating experience in itself. Chef Sutton has maintained the quality of the Pump Room's food and service to the high level worthy of the legends that have dined there. - 39815

Hall Of Famer Coleman Pink Slipped By UFC

By Ross Everett

Not too long ago, Mark Coleman headlined UFC 109 facing Randy Couture. Several days later, he's apparently no longer good enough to remain in the UFC at all. On Wednesday, following a lopsided loss to Couture the UFC released Coleman from his contract and cut the veteran heavyweight. Coleman is now free to sign with any other promotion, but at 46 years of age his most likely-and most advisable-course of action is retirement.

Coleman became the first UFC fighter to be cut immediately after headlining a PPV event. Others have left due to drug test failures or for other opportunities, but none have ever been cut from their contract. Sources close to the UFC suggest that it was a decision no one wanted to make, but that all felt was unavoidable due to Coleman's age and deteriorating skills. Of course everyone knew of his age and deteriorating skills for awhile now, so the UFC's baleful response is a tough act to buy.

While the fact that Coleman is a shell of the fighter he was at his prime, the UFC's suggestion that they have his best interest at heart is somewhat duplicitous. He was kept around and booked into last Saturday's fight--a fight that no one particularly had any interest in seeing in the first place--simply because he was a fighter that Randy Couture could beat. Were the UFC interested in the well being of their aging fighters there's several others on the roster that should also be cut for the same justification as Coleman. Couture, Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell are all well past their prime but they're still under contract and will all likely fight again. No one really wants to see these relics fight, but the UFC has long had a policy that what their fan base wants to see is of minimal importance.

Coleman's age has never been a secret and his diminished skill level was evident to anyone who has watched his recent fights. If the UFC was really interested in his physical well being, the main event against Couture should have never taken place. The fight itself wasn't exactly one that UFC fans had been clamoring for and one that met with derision from the MMA media from the time it was announced. The UFC has tried to hide behind a litany of excuses as their PPV buyrates have eroded including the economy and a spate of injuries but at the root of the problem is the hubris of the promotion and the misguided notion that whatever sort of substandard product they serve up will still be bought.

While retirement would be in Coleman's best interest, he may attempt to fight in a smaller US promotion or in Japan where he's well known from his time in PRIDE. He's already a member of the UFC Hall of Fame with a 26-10 career record and has fought the best in the world including Fedor Emelianenko, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Mirko Cro Cop. - 39815

Choosing An Accommodation For Your Next Kauai Vacation

By Alfred Lancer

If you have chosen Kauai as your desired Hawaii vacation destination, you are way ahead of the game. Now you must decide between a condo, home or hotel room. This can be confusing without properly understanding the amenities each type of property has to offer.

First, let's consider Kauai Condos. Here you will find more space than traditionally available than hotels, which can be important if you are a family traveling or if you simply value your privacy. These condos often have one or more bedrooms, living rooms, and full kitchens. With this type of arrangement you have more flexibility than afforded you with a hotel room, giving you the opportunity to prepare your own meals if you wish or simply relax in comfort.

Kauai Vacation Home Rentals are even bigger than condos, offering more space to spread out. This can also be an important advantage for traveling families who may find themselves cramped in hotels or even in condos. Many such home rentals also offer washer and dryer facilities, an important consideration for extended vacationers who do not wish to use Laundromat or dry cleaner facilities.

Honeymooners or couples traveling to the island for a romantic getaway will delight in the complete and utter privacy made available through a vacation home rental. Enjoy a completely private dinner by candlelight while watching the reflection of moonlight on the ocean, all from the privacy of your own oceanfront dining room.

Both of these types of accommodations are generally less expensive then hotels. In fact, many visitors are frequently surprised by the affordability offered by Kauai vacation home rentals. They are also great for families seeking additional privacy. This option is popular with multiple couples who can share rooms in these rentals to further cut expenses, as well as families who choose the island as an exotic backdrop for their next family reunion.

In addition, while many people may be attracted to the daily rates available at hotels and be turned off by mandatory weekly rates for some vacation rentals, it is important to note that this is not always the case. In fact, many properties available through Kauai vacation rentals are available with both very affordable daily rates as well as weekly rates. Not planning to stay an entire week? Book a condo, bungalow or home rental with a daily rate instead and take advantage of the numerous amenities available only through a vacation rental.

Beyond the affordability factor, vacation rentals present travelers with the freedom and comfort of home, all located in an atmosphere that is relaxing, beautiful and perhaps most importantly, private. Whether you're looking for a beachfront villa, private oceanfront luxury home, ocean view resort condo or a quaint Kauai cottage or bungalow, you can take advantage of all the many amenities offered through Kauai vacation rentals.

Business travelers are not immune to the benefits offered through vacation home rentals, either. With the availability to conduct business and conferences in private along with private lanais for entertaining while enjoying sweeping ocean and mountain views, many business travelers feel this provides a perfect blend of amenities and privacy.

Kauai Hotels have more elaborate lobbies, grounds and pools. There are generally shops and restaurants in the hotel and they have daily maid service and a bellman to help with luggage.

One thing to note; however, is that Hotel facilities such as the Spa, golf and restaurants are available to everyone, even if you are not staying there. In addition, many condo and vacation home rentals are also available with similar amenities as hotels, including access to fabulous golf courses and spa services. Through arrangements with property managers you may also be able to schedule regular maid service for your vacation home rental as well, taking the worries and hassles of picking up after yourself while on vacation completely out of your hands. With the wide variety of restaurants available on the island, preparing meals in your vacation rental is truly an option you can either take advantage of, or if you wish you can instead try a delicious new restaurant each day of your stay.

Finally, an advantage many hotels cannot usually offer that is often available with vacation home rental is the availability of private beach access. When staying in a hotel you are at the mercy of public beach access; and while this is certainly fine for many vacationers, others prefer a more intimate and private atmosphere in which to enjoy the fantastic sunsets and ocean views. Kauai vacation home rentals provide this amenity, allowing you to truly relax in comfort and privacy. - 39815

Tips On Lightweight Travel Trailers And Where To Buy One

Many people who want to add a small camper to their pick up truck discover that there are very few lightweight travel trailers to choose from. Weight is the problem not the variety of the RVs, since most of the existing recreational vehicles in the category are too heavy to get pulled by a car or a pick-up truck. A closer analysis of the market offer will show you that even the RV companies no matter if we are talking about rental agencies or dealers have shown little interest in purchasing lightweight travel trailers. The explanation they give is very simple: the demand is lower for such recreational vehicles, and therefore it is not profitable to keep them in stock.

The bathroom plumbing adds up quite a lot to the weight of the vehicle, particularly as the ceiling design has to be altered to. Therefore, some lightweight travel trailers have a rudimentary form of bathroom or lack it completely. Four types of vehicles fall in the category of lightweight travel trailers: the ultra-lightweights, the fiberglass eggs, the pop-up tent trailers and the teardrop ones.

There are good bits and bad bits about each of these models: the fiberglass vehicles are less popular because of their specific smell, the teardrops are pretty crammed while the pop-ups can be used mainly in warm climates.

Lightweight travel vehicles of around 2,000 pounds could be the most money efficient, but that very much depends on the individual choices and preferences. In terms of size, the interior of lightweight travel trailers is not larger than a small or medium-sized bedroom in the best of cases, which is between 10 and 12 feet. This should be enough to accommodate a couple, but not for a family. The various models come ready furnished from factory with basic appliances including a basic functional bathroom with or without a shower, a microwave and a stove.

It is surprising to discover that there is little difference between the costs of new and used lightweight travel trailers as the price ranges somewhere around $10,000 with all the included amenities. The manufacturing year and the technical inspection are also important to check when you want to purchase a used recreational vehicle. In the absence of a dealer in your local area, you can always try the Internet for more comprehensive resources. Always go through updated databases, otherwise you may be looking at items that are no longer in stock. - 39815

Watch The Film Terminator 2: Judgment Day

By Naomi Gilliam

There is a lot to love about Terminator 2 - Judgment Day. It is up there with many other classic science fiction movies as one that is indispensable to the genre. The cinematography is great, and when the aspects of fate and trying to save the world are mixed in with the sometimes cheesy dialog and acting, we are left with one incredibly charming movie.

The story takes a small group of people, the Conners and the original Terminator, and pits them against a much more powerful force. The T-1000 is as indestructible to the original Terminator as he was to the Conners when he first showed up in the first movie.

The heroes are trying to save the world from a global take over from the soon to be sentient machines. Sarah decides that it is possible to change the future, and goes on a quest to destroy the person that originally designed the terminators. They think that they have won by the end of the movie, but it turns out that they only delayed the, apparently, inevitable.

There is a lot about fate in this movie. Fate and destiny are recurring themes throughout the series. Strangely, there is a lot about changing fate, changing the future. There is a little bit of a modern political argument that can be seen here. Environmentalists say that humans are destroying the planet with pollution, but that we can still change the future and save the planet. This argument may or may not hold water, but what is safe to say is that it is a big topic, and this movie was on top of it a long time before it came into the mainstream of politics.

One thing that gets overlooked in this movie is part of what it is saying about the mental health system in the United States. The audience knows that she isn't crazy, but no one in the movie seems to agree with that statement. As far as they are concerned she is completely gone.

Yet everyone treats her like she is a completely insane woman. Are the filmmakers trying to say that, at the time this movie came out, mental health providers aren't much more than professional guessers when it comes to mental illness? That if they don't believe something than it must be a problem with the other person? They don't go into this too much, so much of this has to be inferred, but there might be something there.

There are issues of fate surrounding John so much it seems to stick to him. He doesn't really believe everything that his mom has told him. A part of him does, it seems, but he doesn't really know that she isn't just crazy. It takes the arrival of the robots from the future in order for him to see that he is not actually being raised by a crazy woman.

The strange thing about Terminator 2 - Judgment Day is that if we take the time-traveling robots out of the equation, then we see a completely different story. Without them showing up, John is being raised by a series of foster parents and a crazy woman. He is being told crazy things that really don't make a lot of sense. And it's all coming from the mind of a very seriously mentally ill woman. Fortunately, the robots do so up, so instead of a story about a horribly dysfunctional family, we are instead treated to a story with some of the most amazing action sequences ever put on film. - 39815

The Wrestler: Comeback Film For Mickey Rourke

By Mark Nixon

If you haven't seen the Wrestler yet, what are you waiting for? Don't you think it's at the top of everyone's movie downloads queue for a reason? Actually, you're probably sick of hearing about the movie at this point, so why not just watch the darn thing and get it over with?

The heart, soul and body of the movie is Mickey Rourke's performance as Randy The Ram Robinson. Well, his real name is Robin Ramzinski. He was a huge star in the hair metal eighties days of wrestling, but has since faded into obscurity. Now he wrestles on the weekends, but it doesn't quite pay the bills, and he has to supplement that by putting in hours at the local grocery store.

Randy's lifestyle has been self destructive, and it's cost him everything. He's paying the price, having lost touch with his daughter, and while he and the boys at the locker room are always close, he really doesn't have any true, close friends.

The movie will rip at your heart strings at the same time as it makes you feel a little more positive about life. The movie looks at Randy in a sincere light, portraying him as a real human being who's made a lot of big mistakes, but a real human being nonetheless. The movie is brutally honest without ever succumbing to the cruel pessimism you usually see in films that are "brutally honest".

Rourke is, again, incredible here. He lived this role in life for years, suffering through all sorts of problems and losing his place in the Hollywood pecking order. This movie is Rourke's comeback, his story, just as it is Randy's. Rourke didn't just play this role, he was this role. Interestingly, Nicholas Cage was offered the job and dropped out because he knew his friend Rourke wanted it, and, in fact, would have done a better job.

They might have been able to secure a bigger budget had Cage stayed on, but the end result is a smaller, more intimate, personal movie, and it's all that much better for it. Rourke wrestles for small crowds, and it really drives home the fact that Randy gives his all to every show, whether he's wrestling for a few thousand fans or a few dozen. He really bleeds it out.

It's an old story with cliche characters, but it never feels that way. Because it's imbued with such humanity and honesty, it feels fresh and new, despite the fact that we've all heard of the down-on-his-luck fighter before.

When you hear the acoustic song by Springsteen at the end, take a moment to reflect on what the ending really means. This movie has a lot of depth, and sits somewhere between Rocky and Raging Bull in the pantheon of sports movies. It is, at once, heart breaking and heart warming, both upbeat and tragic, and the ending really drives that home. At the very least, it's a story you'll never forget. - 39815

By Seomul Evans

The royal kingdom of Nepal (though Nepal recently became a democratic nation), is the only Hindu country in the world. Nestled in the lap of the majestic Himalayas, Nepal shares borders with two of the fastest growing economies in the world - India and China. A natural wonder, this tiny nation is very diverse both in geographical as well as cultural sense, and offers many amazing and wonderful natural sights. With colorful festivals, incomparable natural bounty, warmth, hospitality, and plenty of fresh mountain air, Nepal is a land of volunteering opportunities. Not only does volunteering in Nepal promise a rewarding and enriching experience, it also offers you the rare chance to explore the beautiful Himalayan kingdom while serving the poor, the women, and giving the people of this country hope for a better tomorrow.

Why Volunteer In Nepal

Volunteering in Nepal is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of you who wish to undertake a meaningful journey and do their bit towards making this world a better place for all. With numerous volunteer work opportunities such as serving poor children and women, teaching languages, working on health projects, conservation work, etc., you will get to spend time in three of the bustling cities of Nepal - Kathmandu (capital), Pokhara, and Chitwan. Of course, volunteering in Nepal requires you to be patient, open-minded, and humble when interacting and working with the locals.

Types Of Projects Available
Though there are several volunteer programs available in Nepal, some of the most common ones (which have a higher demand for volunteers) are supporting local orphanages, local schools, teaching English, and working with health centers. Almost all volunteering in Nepal projects are available in Chitwan, Pokhara, and Kathmandu.

As a part of volunteering in Nepal, you have the opportunity to choose the kind of project you are interested to volunteer in. The different types of volunteer projects available in Nepal include:

Teaching English: This volunteering in Nepal program requires, volunteers to be placed in various local schools to teach conversation and reading level English to Nepali children. Just as English is an important skill for a good job placement in the world, Nepal is no different. The requirement of English speaking work force is on the rise in the country. To teach Nepali children English, you don't require any formal teaching qualification. However, you do need a good command of spoken as well as written English, lot of patience, and unquenchable enthusiasm.

Children's Homes: In Nepal, volunteers will get the opportunity to act as a big brother or sister to many of the Nepali orphans who live in orphanages across the country. You will also be required to help with cleaning, gardening, doing repairs, planning activities etc.

Health Education: Health education volunteering in Nepal means working closely with children's homes. The key focus area is on preventative measures by educating Nepali children about regular basic health check-ups, administering necessary childhood immunizations, personal hygiene, and sanitation as a disease prevention method. For this program, you need to be either a medical student or an advanced degree holder in medicine.

Community Maintenance Program: This involves practical application in village settings. Some of the community maintenance projects include painting or plastering, however, those of you with additional skill sets can help in more advanced work. You'll get to work alongside villagers, learning about traditional methods of building and working.

Home Stay/Cultural Exchange: A short volunteering program, this is also a wonderful way to get the best value out of your time in Nepal. You will be staying with a Nepali family in a small rural village or even within a city. During the duration of your stay you will learn about all aspects of Nepali culture, lifestyle, food, as well as attend couple of hours of language sessions twice in the day.

Volunteer Requirements

The two most important requirements for volunteering in Nepal are:

* Age - 18 years or older
* Health - no major health problems

Volunteering in Brazil programs is open to participants from all over the world and to individuals, families, and couples.

Fee and Other details

The fee is charged in advance and is applied for accommodation, food/meals, travel insurance, etc. The project coordinator takes care of most of your needs as a volunteer in Nepal throughout the duration of the project that varies from 7 days to 4 weeks.

Conclusion

Volunteering in Nepal is your chance to learn a new culture as well as contribute toward the society. - 39815

Spend Less On Movies

By Amalia Fitzpatrick

Today you have various options when you are buying or renting a movie. Many people still use the local video store to make purchases and rentals. If you want to avoid the trip, you could sign up for a movie download service. You can then be watching movies in no time, without ever leaving your home.

Movie download sites that are legal let you burn the downloaded file so that you can have a DVD. The site also has permission from the studios to allow these downloads. Low cost websites are often file sharing sites and can have problems.

The procedure of downloading should be very easy for anyone. Most sites will have easy to follow instructions. The key to finding the best movie downloads site is looking to see if they have the latest hit movies.

Peer to peer filing sharing is another way people are downloading movies. A couple of these sites are the BitTorrent and Kazaa. Both sites allow what is considered pirated video sharing, which probably violates the copyright laws.

Most of the sites are organizing their titles for specific movie genres since they have huge selections for your viewing pleasure. There are some sites where you will be required to use a download manager. It is a program where your movies are added to a queue and it keeps track of your movie downloads. Also, it will ask you to install a video player if your computer does not have one.

In Movie Capital for example, they have an annual membership fee that gets you unlimited downloads. You will have an option of either renewing the membership at a lower price or naturally you can terminate it. Once you are a member, they will give you access to their movies. It is important that it is easy to find things on a movie download site. You want to know that when you sign up for a membership that their services will be easy to learn, or user friendly in that sense.

A YouTube movie download is legal. They have the approval from the motion picture studios to make the films they offer available for downloading. These "legal" downloads are the ones you should be looking for.

Movie downloads are a great idea for entertainment. It is preferable to theaters because you don't need to leave the comfort of your home. If you have a good TV you are all set. - 39815

A Synopsis About The Animation Movie Wall-E

By Alexander Willis

WALL-E is a Disney Pixar movie that came out in movie theaters on June 27th of 2008. Critics have rated this film very highly. It has it's funny moments, it's serious moments, and the in between. Wall-E has stolen the heart of many viewers. This post-apocalyptic robot is growing in popularity, and growing fast.

WALL-E has been nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. This is such a milestone! No animated movie has ever won Best Picture. This film not only represents friendship and the extend that some go to keep it alive, but it also symbolizes love. Some of you might laugh at that remark, but when you can feel a connection between two animated characters, you know it has been put together very precisely.

This post-apocalyptic robot embarks on a journey that could change society in the blink of an eye. He first leaves for the distant future because of another attractive robot he meets named Eve. Eve seems to be on some sort of mission, but Wall-E over looks this because he is so pre-occupied with the attraction he feels towards her. Just like humanity, this little robot is absorbed with Eve and her "beauty".

Wall-E's purpose is to clean up the waste that covers the earth. He picks up, piles up, and compresses trash. While at the job site, he encounters something very strange. Something that has never happened before. Me meets Eve, which came from a rocket ship that landed in the junkyard spontaneously. Wall-E feels attraction towards Eve, which is why he takes the long journey back to the future with her. Eve does not know the small robot came along.

When wall-e arrives to the distant future, he is preoccupied with Eve, whom he first left for. But, things start to uncover. He begins to realize that not only his kind, but humanity could be in jeopardy due to imbalances. I am not going to give away the ending. You will have to watch it for yourself!

In a short duration, I will discuss a couple o the cast members that play a role in this movie. Successful Ben Burtt voices two characters in the movie, Wall-E and MO. Ben is very productive in american sound designing. He was involved in many world phenomenon movies including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, E. T. The Extra-Terrestrial, and Star Wars.

Costar, Ellissa Knight, is the voice of Eve. Ellissa plays in other animated films, as well. She plays Tia in the animated movie Cars, a woman in the restaurant in Rataouille, and Lil in Toy Story 3. You can see that she is involved in many animated Pixar animated films. Other voices heard in Wall-E are made up of Kathy Najimy who voices Mary, John Ratzenberger who voices John, and Fred Willard who voices Shelby Forthright - BnL CEO.

If you haven't already, go enjoy this movie. It is filled with laughs, but it also has it's sad moments. It has a heart warming plot. If you like animated movies, you will love this one. Disney Pixar creates sensational animated films. This is another movie to add to your Pixar collection! Watch it, love it, spread the word! - 39815
