Olden Times in London City Breaks

By Harvin Gulfill

When in Europe make sure you stop by and get London city breaks. It has a lot of famous landmarks that are well known. It also has century's worth of culture that you will love to explore.

By virtue of age, a lot of buildings and monuments have become famous landmarks. Age aside, the architecture and craftsmanship is very detailed; you will want to get clear shots of these pieces in your camera.

Have your picture shot with the famous Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster and Westminster Abbey. A lot of major social happenings have been held here and so will be the wedding of Prince William. You can also visit the impressive Parliament with its majestic faade. Visit the Buckingham Palace where you can view state rooms that have luxurious interiors. You will find a lot of master pieces of great artists of the olden days. Paintings, sculptures and even books that can classify as priceless heirlooms can be found here. You might also want to step outside and view the Changing Guard. It is a very electrifying event to see.

Travel to the historic and notorious Tower of London. Once the home of William the Conqueror, you will find thick defensive walls and towers. It is surrounded by a moat to ensure the safety of the occupants as well as the treasures found in here. Many high profile executions have been held here, travelling inside this tower is surprisingly eerie and haunting.

St. Paul's Cathedral is one church you can visit and pay your respects as you go round the city. It took 35 year to rebuild this church since the Great Fire of London. It is a very magnificent structure, splendidly constructed from floor to ceiling.

You can also travel to the London Eye and get an amazing view from this tourist spot on the River Thames. You can also shop at the Millennium Dome and explore shops, exhibits and live entertainment venues.

Get on to London city breaks. You will never be more content with your stay in here.
