Replacing The Flint Wheel On A Lighter

Investing in a high quality lighter is a great way to ensure that you have the ability to smoke when you would like. However, over time, it's quite possible that your lighter will become damaged. While uncommon, you might find that you need to replace your flint wheel, either due to wear and tear or damage. If your flint wheel becomes damaged, you only need to send the lighter to the company and they will repair the lighter at no cost to you.

Other manufacturers offer warranties as well, but not all of them do. If your lighter does not have a warranty, you need to know how to proceed with repairs and replacement. First, you should locate the lighter's serial number. Usually, this is found stamped on the bottom of the outer case. However, you might find it located on the inside of the outer case, or even on the insert somewhere. Once you have the serial number, you will need to order replacement parts from the manufacturer. This can usually be done online, though not always.

Sometimes, you can find a similar lighter and use it for spare parts. Look at the mounting method used to affix the flint wheel on both lighters. If they are the same and the wheels are of the same dimensions, you should have no problem fitting the wheel from the donor lighter to your own.

Removal and installation of a flint wheel will vary considerably, depending on the brand of lighter in question. For disposable lighters, the trouble with replacing a flint wheel is more than the cost of just buying a new one. In the case of a reusable lighter in need of a replacement wheel, you'll need to determine whether you have the tools needed to remove and install the wheel.

Rivets are some of the most commonly used mounting methods, but you will need a couple of tools to successfully remove and install the wheel. You will need a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the rivet from the donor lighter (as well as the rivet from your own lighter). You will also need a new rivet and a pop rivet tool to reinstall the rivet when you have managed to remove it from the donor lighter.

Superstar Shortage At NBA All Star Game

The NBA All Star game was played without a couple of high profile participants this year as the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant and Philadelphia 76ers' Allen Iverson would not play due to injury. Kobe and 'AI' were the latest in a string of injuries to All Star players that also claimed Portland's Brandon Roy and New Orleans' Chris Paul. The NBA has been much more strict about attendance at the All Star game since a number of players skipped out with dubious injuries.

Kobe Bryant has been plagued with minor injuries all year, but missed the Lakers' last three games prior to the All Star contest due to an ankle sprain. Los Angeles is hopeful that by not playing in the game that Kobe will be able to return to action immediately after play resumes following the All Star break. Bryant did travel to Dallas to participate in All Star game festivities.

Iverson has missed Philadelphia's past five games due to an illness suffered by one of his young children. Unlike Kobe, Iverson wasn't expected to be in Dallas this weekend due to the nature of his situation. It's debatable that Iverson deserved an All Star game nod in the first place. He quickly wore out his welcome in Memphis to start the year, and eventually landed back in Philadelphia where he's averaged 14.4 points per game since his return. He was voted in to the starting lineup by NBA fans, and this renewed calls from the media to revise the procedure for selecting All Star game participants. Many would be pleased if the fans were taken out of the process of selecting the starting lineup altogether.

Jason Kidd of the Dallas Mavericks was chosen to replace Bryant in the Western Conference lineup, while New York's David Lee was the East's fill in for Iverson. The West already had two 'fill ins' named to their roster as Denver's Chauncy Billups and the LA Clippers' Chris Kaman took the place of Chris Paul and Brandon Roy respectively.

NBA betting enthusiasts had several options on the menu beginning with the annual 'rookies vs. sophomores' game on Saturday. The Sophomores were a -12 point favorite with the total set at 245' but were crushed by the rookie team. As usual, defense was in short supply at both the 'rookie v. sophomores' game and the actual All Star event.

A Powerful Film Review Of Deadfall Trail

Starring an impressing cast of young budding actors, Deadfall Trail is one of the year's best psychodrama/horror movie that moviegoers have been impatiently waiting for Hollywood to deliver. However, this is an independent movie, not a Hollywood creation. It was directed by Roze, and stars Shane Dean, Slade Hall, and Cavin Gray Schneider in the lead roles.

Along with his title of director, Roze also wore the hat of writer and producer of this film. The film is very much like the blockbuster horror flick, Deliverance. Its profane amount of graphic images, like bug eating and urine drinking, along with the nudity, violence, and profanity all lend to its well deserving R-rating.

The movie starts off with Julian, Paul, and John, the three main characters traveling to Arizona's Kaibab National Forest on a three week camping trip that is solely about survival in the wilderness. This is not your average camping trip. The requirements of this trip are simple. Each boy can only bring a simple plastic trash bag, one camping or hunting knife, and only one bottle of water to drink. The only way to survive for three weeks is to completely depend on their strength, their instincts, their wits, and how they are able to live off of their surroundings.

Soon into the movie, the three boys' personalities are exposed. John shows promise as the leader of the small group since he has survived trips like this one before. His friend, Julian, has also experienced trips like these, with John and proceeds to act like second in charge. Paul is the newbie on the trip. He has never even considered doing something like this. He is horribly excited but his inexperience worries Julian. John is quite sure that Paul will do just fine on the hike.

During the beginning of the trip, everything seems to go as planned. Paul's confidence, despite his inexperience, leads to some troubling situations but nothing too serious that the boys cannot handle. Julian grows increasingly angry at Paul but John manages to keep them all from losing their cool.

The main reason Paul even agreed to a three week survival trip in the Arizona desert is the he was promised that they would indulge in peyote, a small cactus like plant that acts as a psychedelic drug. Despite only having a single bottle of water and being dissuaded by his friends, Paul only wants the peyote and does not care about his friends' warnings.

As with all horror films, things begin to horribly wrong. This flick is no different. The boys take the peyote and all kinds of weird cryptic events begin to occur. The movies moves along at a smooth pace and the characters begin to grown on the viewer, leaving the viewer anxious to see who is going to be the survivor, or if there is going to be any survivors.

One can argue that Deadfall Trail is not ever going to be considered to be Hollywood classic horror movie. However, no one can say that it is not a good movie. The script is written extremely well and the actors are engaging. The characters are developed throughout the movie and it certainly has an interesting plot. This movie is sure to become a fan favorite among teenagers and young adults.
