Most smokers are well aware of all the smoking cessation products and methods out there, and that most of their habit is all psychological. On the other hand, make sure you don't discount the strong physical addictions, as they are very real. But you need to realize that the psychological aspects of the nicotine addiction can be just as powerful. That's why it's necessary to include a support system in your life if you can. If you are lacking people like that, you will have to think outside the box to come up with ways to do it on your own. But you may not know that most US states have organizations that will help you quit smoking in one way or another.

To quit smoking, you will need to plan everything out and you will also need to mark the calendar so that you know when to quit. It's recommended by many to make a big event out of quitting. When you make a big production of it, you will give yourself the extra push you need to stop smoking for good. When you can prevent yourself from craving nicotine, you will be almost there. Beyond that, just change your habits and get rid of all the things that remind you of smoking.
