By Kylee Smith

In a place with much to do as Sydney, Australia, it will be impossible to see all the attractions and all the sights, even if you could stay for a month or more. Therefore, it may be helpful to surf the web to find as much information as possible about the region and all the wonderful attractions that are located throughout the city and surrounding areas.

While there are sites that may already be on your list of things to do and see while you're in Sydney, such as a visit to the stunning Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour, and of course the Taronga Zoo, Sydney has a variety of different attractions to offer visitors and many of the lesser known attractions are still great places to visit. The following are just a few different ideas for attractions to visit while in Sydney and although they may be less publicized, they are well worth a visit if you are in the region.

A natural attraction that visitors to Sydney are often not aware of is the The Bells Line of Road in the Blue Mountains. This is an incredible journey that will take you to the Botanical Gardens and Birds in Kurrajong Hills. The descent of this scenic drive is a real treat and can allow you to enjoy all the incredibly vast region surrounding the city of Sydney.

Another attraction which is also often overlooked is another natural beauty and wonder. It is the Jenolan Caves. These caves are located in the mountains and even if you have rented a vehicle with four wheels, it is recommended that you only travel to the caves in clear weather. If you see the clouds just wait for the bad weather to pass over, since you do not want to be traveling through the rain on those winding mountain roads.

Sydney Australia is a wonderful place to visit. Whether you are planning a short stay or a month long sabbatical, you will probably find that you like Sydney for many different reasons. And when planning a vacation to Sydney make sure you dig a little deeper into the region, since there is a lot more to do then what you may find in one quick search on the Internet. Frommer's Guide can be a useful tool for studying the region and learning about all the little treasures that are scattered throughout the region. Learning more about these small remote locations can not only make for a pleasant trip, but a whole adventure in Australia. - 39815
