One of the most talented directors in all of the movie industry is Ron Howard. Ron Howard has been in the business ever since he was a little kid. Literally, he was one of the stars of The Andy Griffith Show. He has acted in quite a few films, but it is no secret that he is best utilized behind the camera.
But what have been his best movies? Here are some of my favorites.
The first film that I will discuss of Ron Howard's is Willow. This fantasy film was released in 1988 and is about a dwarf who must save an infant with a destiny from a nefarious queen. This movie stars Val Kilmer and Jean Marsh, amongst others.
Cinderella Man is a movie that definitely makes the list. This film had an incredibly talented cast, consisting of Russell Crowe, Rene Zelwegger and the great Paul Giamatti. Sports films don't get much better than this.
Another movie that definitely makes the cut for me is Splash. This movie was released in 1984 and stars Daryl Hannah, John Candy, Eugene Levy and Tom Hanks in one of his greatest movies to date.
Another films that has to be included on a list of the best Ron Howard movies is The Da Vinci Code. For nothing else, this movie makes the cut just because of how big a task it was to take on. This is one of the most popular books in recent memory, and Howard did it justice on the big screen.
Finally, A Beautiful Mind is definitely one of Ron Howard's best, if not the best, movie he has ever directed. This film features Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly at their best, in a story about an incredibly gifted, yet haunted, mathematician.
Hopefully there are one or more films from Ron Howard on this list which you have not yet seen. - 39815
