One Of Most Recognized Structures In Australia

Generally when we look at Sydney, Australia, one thing comes into mind; a distinctive looking construction that lies on the harbor and identifies the landscape of this remarkable city, known as the Sydney Opera House. Even for those people who have never visited Sydney, this is a remarkable landmark and one that many can pick out with ease.

Strangely enough the Sydney Opera house is significantly younger than some other structures in Sydney, although because of its exceptional design has become an image of Sydney since it was created in 1973. It was designed by a Danish Architect, Jorn Utzon during the govern of Queen Elizabeth II and cost $AU 102,000,000 to construct. It's been a icon of Sydney ever since with its distinctive arched structure that draws to points at the top it's a one of a kind design and for a structure this small in stature would seem to hold it's own with the more stunning, massive structures like the Empire State building and the Eiffel Tower.

The Sydney Opera House is on the top of the majority of travelers to do list for their trips to Sydney and over two hundred thousand individuals tour the opera house each year. Each one of its 1000 rooms gives guests with a unique experience and as many as 2 million people every year go to see the happenings held in this landmark.

Even though the Sydney Opera House could, initially, appear smaller than several other landmarks with this type of character, it in reality is an enormous structure with over a million tiles on the roof alone.
